In celebration of the end of 2018, I wanted to share some of my projects that you haven’t seen from the past 12 months using one of my all-time favorite brands, Altenew. I first fell in love with Altenew products at Creativation and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their lines are always unique, interesting, and fun to use.

This year, there were a ton of fun projects I worked on using Altenew. We even used some of their giant washi tape at Jack’s 5th birthday party! But I wanted to share a few specific projects with you. Earlier this year, I attended Queen Bee Market in Las Vegas to teach a workshop (you can watch the YouTube video here) and run a booth with my mom. While I was there, one of the projects I taught was to make a blank notebook into a work of art using Altenew products. This project was especially fun for me. I was able to decorate the front of a fabric cover blank notebook using the awesome layering dies. It gives the cover a multidimensional look and feel. I added some embellishments including some of the gorgeous washi tape.

It isn’t just me. I recently hosted a workshop on intention setting and brought Altenew watercolors for people to use in the group crafts. Everyone loved using them. Not only are they beautiful and pigmented, they also help people feel excited about the projects they’re working on. They are fun, easy to use and it can be reassuring for people who are venturing into crafting or painting for the first time, especially in a group.
