Preseason All-MVC

Started 28 games and averaged 12.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game … became the ninth player in program history to earn three-straight all-conference nods ... scored in double figures in 21 games this season, which included three 20-plus point games … ranked in the top-15 of the MVC in five statistical categories including seventh in offensive rebounds (2.0), 10th in field goal percentage (48.8%), 11th in scoring (12.7), tied for 14th in blocks per game (.6) and tied for 15th in rebounds per game (5.4) … grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds against UNI (Jan. 10) … shot over 50% from the field in 12 games and over 60% in seven games this season … snagged over six rebounds in 14 of SIU’s 25 games … finished with multiple steals in six games … ended her career ranked in the top-10 in program history for both career points and career rebounds and is one of just eight players in program history to score over 1,400 points in their career.

Appeared in all 30 games, including 29 starts for SIU ... Averaged 14.8 points on 53.6% shooting to go along with 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and .8 steals in 27.9 minutes per game … Became just the sixth Saluki to repeat on the All-MVC First Team … Scored in double figures in 22 games, including five 20-plus point outputs and seven double-doubles … Ranked in the top-10 of the MVC in four statistical categories, including third in field goal percentage (53.6%), fifth in offensive rebounds per game (2.6), sixth in points per game (14.8), seventh in rebounds per game (7.4) and eighth in defensive rebounds (4.8) … Also ranked Top-25 in the league in minutes played (23rd, 27.9) … Became the 26th Saluki to reach 1,000 career points in SIU’s win over Indiana State (3/7) and just the eighth Saluki to score their 1,000th career point during their junior season … Went for 23 points on 11-of-12 shooting in SIU’s win over Evansville (Jan. 4), which was the best individual shooting percentage by a Saluki since 2014 … Her 91.7% field goal percentage in the win over Evansville was the 11th-best nationally for single game FG% … Finished with 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in SIU’s win at Loyola (Feb. 22), which marked the first time since 2016 that a Saluki posted a 15/15 double-double.

2017-18 (Sophomore Season)

Appeared in all 31 games for SIU, including 23 starts … Averaged 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 25.5 minutes per game … Reached double-figures in SIU’s final eight games and 24 games overall … Tallied 20-plus points in three contests this season, including back-to-back 20-plus point outputs for the first time in her career … Notched her second career double-double in the win at Marshall (12/2) with 14 points and 10 rebounds … Finished with a career-best 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting in 37 minutes at Drake (2/2) … Was named the MVC Player of the Week after she scored 24 points at Drake (2/2) and dropped in 22 points to go along with three blocks and a steal at UNI (2/4) … Made 12-of-13 free throws in SIU’s win over Valparaiso (1/21), both of which are career-bests … Finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and tied her career-high with three assists in 17 minutes of SIU’s win over Evansville (3/3) … Ranked in the top-15 in the MVC in six statistical categories, including points (9th), rebounds (14th) and field goal percentage (7th) … Is the 12th different Saluki to earn All-MVC First Team selection and just the fifth to do so as a sophomore … Is the first player in program history to earn All-MVC First Team honors a year after earning a spot on the MVC All-Freshman Team … 22nd player in Valley history, and first since 2014-15 season, to earn a spot on the All-MVC First Team a year after being named to MVC All-Freshman Team.

2016-17 (Freshman Season)

Appeared in all 31 games for SIU, including 16 starts…Averaged 7.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game…Her 5.1 rebounds per game were the fourth-most of any Valley freshman… Became the 10th Saluki all-time to earn All-Freshman team accolades…Notched her first career double-double in the win over Brescia (Nov. 26) with 17 points and 12 boards…Scored in double figures six times..Finished in double figures for the second time in her collegiate career at UNI (Jan. 6), as she scored a team-high 16 points and set career-highs in free throws made (6) and free throws attempted (8)…Played a career-best 29 minutes and scored eight points to go along with six rebounds against Illinois State (Jan. 29)…Finished with 11 points, six rebounds, two blocks and a steal against Drake (Feb. 3) and followed with 13 points, three boards and a steal in the win over Northern Iowa (Feb. 5), marking the first time that she reached double figures in back-to-back games…Tied her career-best for offensive rebounds (5) at Evansville (Jan. 22)..Swatted a career-high three shots against Wichita State (Mar. 10). 

High School
Was a three-sport athlete at Jefferson City...Averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game as a junior...Two-time All-Jefferson County Conference and All-Area honoree...Earned a spot on the 2014-15 All-Central District team...Played AAU for the Missouri Lady Warriors...Finished fourth in the high jump at the state meet her junior year...Nicole's sister, Kezia, is a jumper on the SIU track & field team.

Personal
Daughter of Joe and Pamela Martin…Both Joe and Pamela were collegiate athletes, with Joe starring on Lincoln University's football team, while Pamela played basketball for the Blue Tigers…Has seven older siblings, Angela, Tiffany, twins Joseph and Camilla, Jalen, Deborah, Kezia and one younger sister, Yolanda…Majoring in exercise science.
