"Something Rotten!" is a hilarious musical set in Renaissance England. It follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, struggling playwrights desperate to outshine William Shakespeare. Seeking a soothsayer's advice, they misinterpret a prophecy about the future of theater, thinking they should create the first-ever musical called "Omelette." The ensuing chaos involves mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and Shakespeare's attempts to thwart their efforts. Packed with witty humor, catchy songs, and clever references, the musical is a rollicking journey through the world of creative rivalry and unexpected success.

Since 1897, the Penn State Thespian Society has been a student-run organization devoted to the performing arts, producing quality performances every semester.

Every main stage musical, children's show, and cabaret is produced from the ground up by our student members. We're a learning club, with so many ways to get involved.
