The Metropolitan Opera

This weekend, tune in for Verdi’s soul-stirring Requiem, a towering masterpiece that stands as one of the repertory’s great showcases of vocal, choral, and orchestral writing. Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Met Orchestra and Chorus with soloists; soprano Leah Hawkins, mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill, tenor Matthew Polenzani, and bass Dmitry Belosselskiy.

Grand Rapids Symphony Broadcast Season

Tune in to Blue Lake Public Radio Sunday afternoons at 1:00 for broadcast concerts by the Grand Rapids Symphony! Music Director Marcelo Lehninger created a wonderful season of music for us. Programs this year include Handel’s Messiah and “A Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus Celebration.” We’ll also hear orchestral favorites ranging from Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony to works by Prokofiev and Bartok. Join us every week through June 2.
