Drexel Medicine - Veterans Day Event
Drexel University College of Medicine Campus - 2900 W Queens Lane, Philadelphia, PA

Monday November 11th, 2019
12 - 1 pm EST
Student Activities Center (SAC) Room

This panel discussion aims to introduce future and current physicians and/or clinicians to the unique needs of our veteran and military-affiliated community. Over the past few years, we have seen a continued increase in veteran and military-affiliated populations choosing health services outside of, or in addition to, the VA. As a practicing physician, it is crucial to understand how best to support and treat the members of our armed forces. This workshop will require you to critically think about what it means to care for a veteran or military-affiliated patient, including: questions you should ask, circumstances to be aware of, follow-up services to prescribe, and so on.
