*Pro Tools 2019.12 delivers initial support for macOS Catalina extending to audio-only workflows and some video workflows. Before upgrading to macOS Catalina, please visit our macOS Catalina support page to confirm your system and your workflow are fully compatible.
** The following issue has been observed and is under investigation by Avid & Apple; USB-C to 1Gb RJ45 Ethernet adapter cannot be used to connect using the Avid NEXIS Client because Catalina reports the interface speed as zero Mbps. Workaround: use USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt 2 to 1Gb Ethernet adapter. Thunderbolt 3 to 10Gbps and 40Gbps adapters are supported by Catalina and Avid NEXIS Client.
We are working closely with Apple in order to support macOS 10.15 Catalina as soon as possible. Please check this page or your product's specifications page regularly to obtain information on the current operating system requirements. In the meantime, we recommend you continue to use macOS Mojave and earlier until further notice.
