AMoA's PAUSE 2020 Prospectus 
This special 6-week exhibition will feature works created by Central Louisiana artists during the year of social unrest surrounding racial disparities and COVID 19.  Themes of fear, isolation, and protest, as well as hope and faith, reflect the challenges present in our communities during 2020. Look back at the past year through the lens of local artists as we greet 2021.

ELIGIBILITY
• Artists that reside in the following Louisiana parishes are eligible to enter:
Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon and Winn Parishes.
• All artists over the age of 18 – working in any medium – are eligible.  
• All works must be original and must have been completed during 2020.

TO ENTER
• Submit your entries via Café.
• Each artist may submit TWO entries with a non-refundable fee of $25.00.
• All images submitted must be smaller than 5MB and saved as a JPG at the highest resolution possible (300 dpi or higher).
• Entries must include all requested information including but not limited to: identifying information attached to the back of the artwork, digital images, artist statement (maximum of 100 words) for label use, media information, price, year completed, etc.
• Entries will be juried from digital images by the AMoA Staff. 

RULES
• Deadline for entry is November 17, 2020.
• Full view images of works are required. Multiple views of 3D works can be put into one file. 
• Video files must be a maximum of 100 MB. Video entries must not exceed 30 minutes in length.
• All works must be adhered to a strong backing for exhibition. Applying paint or adhesives to museum walls is not permitted. 
• If digital images are not accurately representative of work chosen, AMoA has the right to disqualify the entry from the exhibition.
• By entering, the artist agrees to allow their work to be reproduced for the purpose of publicity. 
• By entering, the artist agrees that all entered work will be available for exhibition if chosen.  
No substitutions will be allowed.       
• ALL INVITED WORKS MUST ARRIVE at AMoA no later than December 22, 2020.
• Artists who do not adhere to any of the above rules will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of museum staff.

DELIVERY AND PACKAGING
• All artwork must arrive no later than December 22, 2020. 
• After notice of invitation, ship (or deliver) entries to: 
Alexandria Museum of Art, 933 Second Street, Alexandria, LA  71301.  
• Any work being shipped MUST HAVE A PRE-PAID RETURN SHIPPING LABEL. 
(Example: FedEx, UPS, or USPS.)  
• Hand deliveries are encouraged and are accepted Tuesday - Friday, 10am-5pm and 
Saturday, 10am-4pm.   
• Please do NOT include personal checks for return shipping.
• All entries must have identification information attached to the back of the artwork including 
artist name and title of the work.
• All shipped works must be in sturdy reusable packaging. 
• Opening instructions should be printed on the outside.  
• All necessary installation instructions must be included with the work.  
• All damaged packages will be returned unopened C.O.D. 
• If damaged works are received, the artist will be consulted.
• AMoA will not take responsibility for works returned undeliverable.  
• Art work unclaimed after one year becomes the property of AMoA.
• Do not use Styrofoam peanuts. 

EXHIBITOR OBLIGATIONS
• Selected work must be display ready.  
• All 2-D work should be wired or fitted with D-rings for hanging, and where appropriate, framed with Plexiglas.  
• Any work notably different from the submitted digital file will be disqualified.  
• Any submitted artwork must be available for exhibition.  No substitutions will be allowed.  
• By entering this competition, you agree to all rules and guidelines as well as grant permission for submitted images to be used for marketing and promotional purposes, associated with the exhibition. 

SALES AND LIABILITY
• A 30% commission will be charged on all sales.  
• Every reasonable precaution will be taken to assure protection of entries, but the Alexandria Museum of Art assumes no responsibility for loss or damage from any cause during transit. 
• Works will be insured for the duration of the show while on AMoA premises.  
• Any entries delivered without insurance value will be assigned a maximum value of $500.
