Session Highlight - Marketing Safety
The Communications Work Group has put together a great session on Marketing Safety. The skills you will learn will also help you promote all of your programs.
Here is a preview. The session will be held on Wednesday, 8/14 at 3:30 pm.

Communicating effectively with your target audiences is crucial to your program’s success. However, strategic communication is one of the least understood skills in many technical fields. Join marketing specialist Kevin Elliott for this session, where he will give you:

  • Quick tips and examples for marketing your work more effectively
  • Another way to think about your elevator speech
  • A handy communication tool used by the world’s biggest brands

Special Thanks to the FHWA Office of Safety for this opportunity.
Don’t Miss it!
State Sharing Sessions
We still have some space available in the State Sharing Sessions. Please contact Donna at: [email protected] if you have something you would like to share from your LTAP Center or DOT Training Group.

She looks forward to hearing from you!
Poster Session
It is wonderful to see the posters shared from all over the country each year at the conference.
2019 marks the tenth annual poster session at the National NLTAPA Conference and this year’s theme is “ Climb Every Mountain.” All of us in the LTAP-TTAP-NTTD community embrace opportunities to overcome barriers, rise above expectations, and provide solutions to challenges that may have seemed insurmountable. We truly do “climb every mountain” in our mission to support safe, effective road transportation! This poster session will celebrate our successes in using innovation, perseverance, and our deep institutional and professional knowledge to help our state and local road agencies achieve their goals.

Above is a sample of one of the posters from 2018.

For more information on submitting a poster, visit our website at: http://www.nltapa.org/articles/2019-ltap-ttap-nttd-conference-poster-session
Things to Do in Stowe, VT
Each newsletter, we will be highlighting different things to do while you are in Stowe. As it starts to feel a bit more like spring in New England, we could not resist sharing things that remind us of summer.

Vermont is known for beautifully constructed Covered Bridges. The Gold Brook Bridge (also known as Emily’s Bridge) is a 49 foot long Howe Truss bridge built in 1844. The legend of Emily’s Bridge is also probably the most famous Vermont “ghost story” of all. But, is it true or just folklore? You will have to take a walk over during your visit and check it out.
